Cloth Diapers Still Work!
I know that many people would disagree with the parents who opt to use cloth diapers over disposable diapers. There are many reasons why people have this opinion, some of these include, but are not limited to:
- They are too much of a hassle
- They are not as sanitary as disposable diapers
- Cleaning them is far too difficult
- They are too expensive
- they pose certain risks to the baby
Think about it; the average large package of diapers that offers you between 35-50 diapers will cost you $13-$15 each. You will likely be buying 2-3 packs a weeks; your cloth diapers generally cost about $2-$5 each, and they are washable.
You will spend $45 a week for disposable diapers, as opposed to $20 per growth size (you need only buy cloth diapers when child changes sizes) for cloth diapers. The cost is far cheaper even if you get the accessories such as pins, and liners. Cloth diapers are far cheaper, which makes the time in changing and washing baby much more worth it.
You can even get discount cloth diapers from places like Green Mountain when you buy online. Despite the myths, cloth diapers do not encourage or cause diaper rash either. In fact, since most of them are made of 100% cotton, they can actually absorb better and cause less instances of diaper rash.
