I've had three kids and used a Vera Bradley diaper bag with all of them. My dad had their name put on each one to personalize it. They have a lot of room and hold up great. My daughter is two and hers looks brand new. They come with a matching changing pad and have several pockets on the outside as well as the inside. They are machine washable and very stylish, as is most of the Vera Bradley line. Just go to their website, I think it is http://www.verabradley.com, and you can check out all the different patterns.

First of all I think its really nice that you want to get a nice diaper bag for your wife, its a nice gesture. When I had my baby I didn't want all the cutesy diaper bags with teddybears or ribbons. I went to a regular bag store (theirs lots!) and look for a nice bag that can hold lots of stuff. Lots of pockets are good. You need space for the diapers, change of clothes, bottles, diaper creams....etc. I could go on. Get a nice big bag!

I have a Kipling (made by Tumi) and I loved it!
I had a hard time finding mine, I ended up going to a luggage shop that carried Kipling and had them order it for me.
I included a link to a UK site so you could see one. They also have other models, like a backpack style.

I used the one they gave me in the hospital. If your wife does not want to go with a "cutesy" one, then any larger bag will do. They dont have to look like or even be diaper bags to hold diapers.

why spend that kind of money on a diaper bag. its only gonna get ruined in about 3-6 months and need to be replaced. leaky bottles and dirty clothes will make it smell dont waste your money go to babies r us and buy one for a lot less you will see it was worth savingthe money
